Sarjapur Road Schools Review.

Sarjapur Road Schools Review.

This is a simple and honest review of the Schools on Sarjapur Road and completely based out of my personal Experiences. I visited these schools for my Daughter after we moved to a place near doddakanelli. The opinions expressed here are personal, and i advice discretion while selecting your school.

1.    New Horizon Gurukul / VidyaMandir: (My Rating : 6/10)
A Good school by reviews for activities and studies. This is a bit costly as they charge 1 Lakh as donation(One time) and annual fee around 80K + bus fee. They will not allow to have a walk around in the school unless you have the kid with you and pay the application fee of 600. There are few negative reviews also in terms of Fee and donations as they will not provide receipt for all the amount paid. Met a happy parent of the school. People staying in and around Cessna tech park can go for this school if affordable. I rate this down because of their response. They follow CBSE. They a decently sized play ground behind the school.
2.    Harvest International school: (My Rating : 9/10)
This gets the best reviews in the net. You get the same feel after visiting the school. The presentation is too good to resist. You will calm down after thinking for couple of days on the fee structure. Deposit 60K + 90K fees + 10K + Bus Fee(25K min). The facilities are good in the school. They have a leadership program in which they take the kids to some Sainik campus set in Sarjapur once/twice a month. They have all the activities in the school like Music, Dance, Indoor games, Basketball, Football. The second kid will get 10% concession. They have another school in HSR layout for Montessory (Cherubs Montessory) up to UKG. No house near walkable distance and has to go by bus. Can join this school if you can afford the fee. They follow CBSE. The teaching methods are good and teachers are understanding. Less pressure on Student / Less exams and they follow a continuous evaluation method that avoids pressure but successfully able to evaluate performance.
3.    Chrysalis High: (My Rating : 8/10)
This is in Varthur- Sarjapur road. I got a good feeling visiting the campus and speaking to the principal. They have a PUPA program which is a constant monitor on the Kids interests, Developments and skills. They will follow this until 8th standard and by then they give feedback on where the kid improved, lagged, showing interest in games and studies. The kids there are confident and the management listens to us(not sure on the action part). Fee is 120K + Bus fee. They follow ICSE in this campus.
4.   Geetanjali: (My Rating : 5/10)
The school looks ok but a bit cramped. The fee is around 70K and donation is around 50K ( Don’t remember exactly, But for sure this is a bit cheaper). They have all the activities mentioned but there is little space for all of them. They follow CBSE.
5.   GIIS (My Rating : 8/10)
They have a very big ground.  The fee comes around 1.5 Lakh first year and from second year it will be 120K + Bus fee from second year. One or the other day your kid will get a chance to meet Anil Kumble as they have some contacts with Chandu Borde academy . Class rooms are well ventilated and airy. There is second block construction  under progress. . They follow CBSE.
6.   DPS East: (My Rating : 7/10)
This is decent school for this range. They have been improving consistently over the years. Curriculum and teachingmethods are good. The fee is about 60K + 60K donation + 30K caution deposit + bus fee(28K min). Admission process is simple and no assessment test required. They follow CBSE.
7.    SSRVM East: (My Rating : 9/10)
This have all the activities like Music Dance, art and craft, Slokas and Yoga. They have a very good ground and sports activities. The fee is 60K + donation 50K + Bus fee(25K min). Assessment test is needed to get admission. The previous results are good and I assume they follow the Indian heritage as they belong to the Art of Living by Ravishankar. I choose this school over other for the following reasons. They follow CBSE.
1.       They have all the activities as mentioned by other schools
2.       It is at a reasonable distance to office.
3.       They responded well in the admission process.
4.       Last but not the least the fee is reasonable.
      8.   Gear International (My Rating : 6/10)
They don’t allow to visit the school even with the kid but from the principle’s room it looks okay. 66K is donation out of that 50K is to be paid as cash. 85K is the tution fee + 18K for books. Fees wise this is more or less Equal to the Harvest, the advantage is that it is near to Marthahalli. so there will slight saving in the transportation if you are staying in that area. But General feedback from Parents are bad, for the rude behavior of some teachers.  Very less accommodating in terms of suggestions.
